Control 2025 is Ready for Take-Off!

The trade fair highlight for the QA industry will open its doors in just a few days: the 37th Control international trade fair for quality assurance will take place at its usual venue in Stuttgart from the 6th through the 9th of May, 2025. Expert visitors can look forward to four halls packed with new measuring and test technology, as well as a world-class supplementary presentation programme, the special show for “Contactless Measuring Technology” held by Fraunhofer’s Vision business unit … and a première: the new “Control Quality Talks” panel discussion dealing with the topic of AI.
The time has come: Control 2025 is ready for take-off. Quality assurance (QA) decision-makers will convene at the 37th Control international trade fair for quality assurance from the 6th through the 9th of May, 2025. As is customary, expert visitors will experience a highly practical and future-oriented Control 2025 with high levels of internationalism and expertise, as well advanced, cutting-edge technologies. Various types of measuring technology will be showcased in halls 3, 5, 7 and 9 at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre and presented with cross-industry relevance. The spectrum of topics encompasses the fields of vision, image processing and sensor technology, as well as measuring and test technology including the latest software and analysis technologies. Artificial intelligence (AI) will be one of the key topics, and its use will be demonstrated extensively at the trade fair.
Due to the fact that AI systems have evolved into a top technology trend in QA, the trade fair promoters are launching a new event format this year – the 2025 Control Quality Talks. The current status of AI in practical applications will be discussed under the heading “AI in QA – Will the Future be Free of Defects? AI as Turbocharger for Profitability and Efficiency”. The talks will explore the various types of AI systems which already exist today, which are already being used in industry, and which specific results they’re achieving in terms of cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Panel discussion participants include Dr.-Ing. Ira Effenberger, Head of Research for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Vision at the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, Dr.-Ing. Ralf Christoph, Managing Director and Proprietor of Werth Messtechnik, Florian Schwarz, CEO at CAQ AG Factory Systems, Dr. Christian Wojek, Head of AI at Zeiss IQS and Dr. Timo Bernthaler, Managing Director of Matworks GmbH. The discussion will be moderated by Dr.-Ing. Peter Ebert, Editor-in-Chief of trade journal “inVISION”. All industry players are cordially invited to attend the discussion in hall 7-7115 beginning at 2:30 p.m. on the first day of the trade fair.
More efficiency, fewer defects, less waste and safe products – seamless, intelligent quality assurance is indispensable for sustainable, state-of-the-art production. The trend is moving towards fully automated product testing during the manufacturing process. As part of the presentation forum, Professor Dr. Daniel Carl from the Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques IPM will address the subject of “Generating Added Value with Measuring Technology” in his keynote speech at trade fair’s opening ceremony at 11 a.m. on the 6th of May. Expert visitors are cordially invited to attend this, as well as all of the other technical presentations held on all three trade fair days. The special show on “Contactless Measuring Technology”, being held for the 19th time this year by Fraunhofer’s Vision business unit, will once again attract considerable interest, because it presents the most up-to-date technologies, applications and system components in the field of contactless measuring and test technology.
Trade fair promoters P. E. Schall are looking forward to lots of visitors and inspiring encounters at Control 2025!
